Recently, browsing DAO proposals feels a bit like watching a neighborhood homeowners' association chat group: on the surface, they say "improve the greenery," but a closer look reveals who the budget is allocated to, how the voting thresholds are set, who can make urgent decisions... the power structure is written between the lines. Incentives are the same; the more smoothly rewards are distributed, the easier it is to push people into default consent.

Some also complain that validators/miners are eating too well from MEV, and that the ordering is unfair. I think it’s all part of the same thread: rules are set first, and afterward, it’s about who stands at the front of the line. Anyway, when I look at proposals now, I first ask “who profits, who gets diluted, who can change the rules,” then decide whether to like or vote. Being quick but feeling guilty really makes it easy to get caught in a trap.
