German Foreign Minister Calls for the EU to Abolish the Principle of Unanimous Consent for Decision-Making so that the EU can “Truly Grow.”
According to information from the German side on April 4, Wadfur proposed abolishing the unanimity principle in the formulation of foreign and security policies before the next European Parliament elections, so that the EU can “better act internationally and truly grow.”
Regarding the reasons for putting forward this proposal, Wadfur said: “Over the past few weeks, all our experiences in aid to Ukraine and sanctions against Russia have shown that we should do this.” (CCTV News)
