China’s Hesai adds colour to lidar to help EVs level up in self-driving
Hesai Group has introduced a new 6D full-colour lidar platform that can detect color to improve object identification for autonomous driving. This innovation is expected to significantly enhance sensing capabilities, helping electric vehicles more reliably identify critical colored objects like traffic lights and construction signs. The new ETX lidar sensors are anticipated to be available in the second half of this year.
