On April 3 local time, Russian President’s press secretary Peskov said in a routine briefing that to stop the hot phase of the special military operation, Ukraine must withdraw its forces from Donbas. He said there is no clear deadline for the withdrawal, but it is necessary and will help push the conflict into a political and diplomatic resolution process. Peskov stressed that the Ukrainian side should have withdrawn “today,” and “preferably yesterday.” Peskov said that Russia will continue the special military operation until all established objectives are achieved. He also revealed that Putin will hold an international telephone conference on the 3rd to continue addressing issues related to the Middle East situation, and that an emergency meeting of members of the security council will be convened on the same day.
