Experts: Internal Division Exists Within the U.S. Government, Trump is in a 'Difficult Position'

On April 24, as the U.S. and Israel continue their war against Iran, it is evident that there is a lack of unity within the Trump administration regarding how to proceed. Andrea Dressi, an assistant professor of International Relations and Global Politics at Roma University, stated: “We see that the goals of the United States are constantly shifting, strategies are changing, and objectives are being adjusted. Despite the Trump administration’s attempts to ‘project strength’ through social media, in reality, we observe increasing divisions within the U.S. government, with more and more disagreements, as well as the dismissal of several high-ranking officials at the Pentagon and the Department of Defense. All of this reinforces the analysis that the war initiated by the U.S. and Israel is based on a ‘serious misjudgment of the consequences this conflict may bring or a lack of strategic thinking.’ Therefore, we find ourselves in this deadlock, and in a sense, Trump is seeking an exit strategy.” (Jinshi)
