I realize people are really pathetic... When I'm making a profit, I can stay calm and not look at the market, but when I start to lose, my brain goes off like an alarm, even though I haven't cashed out my losses, I still can't sleep. Basically, it's loss aversion: the joy of earning 1 dollar isn't enough to offset the pain of losing 1 dollar, especially when trading futures—when it turns red, I don't take it seriously; when it turns green, I start imagining "it's going to explode." What's even more frustrating is that some people use on-chain data tools and tagging systems to comfort themselves, saying "big players are bottoming out" or "smart money is entering," but the tags are lagging and might even be manipulated, which makes you more anxious. The more anxious you get, the more you want to add to your position to average down... In the end, it's not the market killing you, but yourself torturing yourself. Anyway, I just turn off leverage when I'm in a loss for now, look less at it, so I don't wake my mom up in the middle of the night again.
