These past couple of days, I’ve been checking “on-chain data” so much that I’m starting to doubt my own life: for the same transaction, I haven’t seen it on A’s RPC yet, but it’s already shown as successful on B… Basically, you think you’re watching “real-time,” but maybe the node isn’t synchronized, RPC is queuing, the indexer is still crawling slowly, and a delay of a few seconds to several minutes isn’t surprising. Even more outrageous are some dashboards that update slowly; you watch them to make judgments, your emotions fluctuate up and down, and in the end, you realize it’s just “information being late.”

Recently, the testnet incentives and points system are the same; everyone is guessing whether the mainnet will issue tokens. I’ve just saved screenshots of my own records, in case later someone says I didn’t interact when actually it wasn’t recorded… What I don’t regret is: for key operations, I’d rather switch two more RPC nodes to verify, to avoid being affected by “fake delays” and messing with my mindset. I can save on gas as much as possible, but when it comes to information, you really can’t be too stingy.
