The Israel Defense Forces said on the 4th that the Israeli military carried out airstrikes on “critical infrastructure” in Tehran, Iran’s capital, the previous day. Separately, Israeli media reported that in the early hours of the 4th, multiple locations across the country were hit by Iranian missile attacks, causing damage to buildings, transmission lines, and other facilities. The IDF said that the targets of this round of airstrikes included a facility where the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stored air defense missiles, a military base responsible for protecting Iran’s weapons research and development facilities, a ballistic missile storage point, and other weapons production and research facilities. Also, according to a report by The Times of Israel on the 4th citing information from fire and rescue services and local municipal authorities, Iran’s latest round of attacks caused part of a building to collapse in the central Ramategan area, damaged a high-voltage transmission line in the Ha’ain Corner area, and led to power outages in some areas. An industrial zone near the southern Israeli city of Beersheba was also hit by Iranian missiles, triggering a fire. (Xinhua)
