Photos from the White House Correspondents' Dinner Shooting Incident: Trump and Pence Unharmed, Shooter Arrested

On April 26, local time April 25, gunfire was reported at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, prompting President Trump to be urgently evacuated from the scene. Both Trump and Vice President Pence were unharmed after the shooting incident, and the shooter has been arrested. Trump stated, “Law enforcement has requested us to leave the scene as per protocol, and we will comply immediately. I will hold a press conference in the White House briefing room in 30 minutes. The First Lady, Vice President, and all cabinet members are safe. I have communicated with the event organizers, and the event will be rescheduled within 30 days.” Fox News reporter Bret Baier remarked, “I heard gunshots, and everyone ducked down… within seconds, the scene was quickly secured by Secret Service personnel, and armed officers rushed in.” According to senior White House officials, “The shooter rushed towards the security checkpoint near the main entrance and fired at a Secret Service agent inside the banquet hall.”
