Guangxi Maritime Safety Administration Launches "Zero Discharge" Initiative for Water Pollutants from Ships on the Xijiang Main Line

According to a news release from the Guangxi Maritime Safety Administration, recently the Guangxi Maritime Safety Administration has issued the 2026 Xijiang mainline vessel water pollutant “zero discharge” special action implementation plan. By the end of the year, it will carry out a “tough campaign,” promoting the Xijiang shipping mainline corridor of nearly 800 kilometers from Nanning to Wuzhou and from Liuzhou to Guiping. Nearly 10,000 vessels will implement the “zero discharge” model of “storing pollutants onboard and disposing them at the dock,” continuously polishing the “Guangxi ecological advantage is non-negotiable—Jinbu-huan” brand.
