Lufthansa Group in Germany recently announced that it will cut 20k short-haul flights and consolidate routes by the end of October this year to respond to the surge in aviation fuel prices and supply shortages caused by the Iran conflict. According to a report by the Associated Press on the 22nd, Lufthansa plans to consolidate routes operated by its subsidiaries Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, and ITA Airways, reducing low-profit routes centered around Frankfurt and Munich.
