Crypto World News reports that, according to Polish media Onet, Przemysław Kral, CEO of the cryptocurrency exchange ZondaCrypto, has traveled to Israel. Because he holds Israeli citizenship, he may be difficult to extradite back to Poland. The report says that ZondaCrypto is on the verge of bankruptcy, and about 99% of the company’s Bitcoin reserves are suspected to have disappeared. The firm claims that roughly 4,500 BTC private keys are held by founder Sylwester Suszek, but he has been missing since 2022. Prosecutors currently lean toward the view that he has been murdered. The platform has now stopped withdrawals, management has disbanded, and Polish authorities have launched criminal and economic investigations. The actual losses may be far higher than the official estimate of about $100 million (about 350 million Polish zloty).
