MetaPlanet has issued unsecured, non-interest-bearing bonds worth 8 billion Japanese yen to the EVO Fund, allocating its proceeds to purchase more Bitcoin, according to a statement released on Thursday. These bonds represent the 20th series of MetaPlanet's ongoing program, maturing in April 2027; they are unsecured, expanding the company's use of capital markets to grow what is already one of the largest corporate Bitcoin investment portfolios.

Under the announced terms, the bonds will be redeemed at their face value at maturity, with the EVO FUND able to request early redemption with five business days' prior notice. The company, MetaPlanet, may also redeem part or all of the bonds if it completes future financing with the same investor.
It is noted that the EVO FUND, a Cayman Islands-based investment fund and a core part of the Evolution Financial Group, specializes in structured financing for digital asset companies and is the lead subscriber for MetaPlanet's zero-interest bonds used to purchase Bitcoin.
