Trump: Core objectives nearing completion, oil price increase is a short-term phenomenon

Jin10 Data, April 2 — During a nationwide televised address on Thursday, Trump detailed the military achievements of the "Epic Rage Operation." He stated, "The U.S. military achieved a swift and decisive victory. The core strategic objectives are close to being accomplished. In the entire history of human warfare, no enemy has suffered such clear and devastating large-scale losses in just a few weeks." He reiterated, "Iran's capability to launch missiles and drones has been significantly weakened. We will never allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons." On the energy front, Trump still said, "We do not need oil from the Middle East. Thanks in part to Venezuela's oil and natural gas, the U.S. is now completely independent of the Middle East. The recent rise in domestic gasoline prices is a 'short-term' phenomenon. Oil production will soon increase significantly. The U.S. has never been better prepared economically." Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, which markets are most concerned about, Trump still did not provide a timetable for reopening: "We didn't need the Strait of Hormuz before, and we don't need it now. Once the conflict ends, the strait will naturally reopen."
