Deep Tide TechFlow News, on February 2nd, according to The Block, the cross-chain liquidity protocol CrossCurve (formerly EYWA) confirmed that its cross-chain bridge was attacked, with hackers exploiting a smart contract vulnerability to steal approximately $3 million. Security analysis indicates that the attacker bypassed the gateway verification in the ReceiverAxelar contract, sending forged cross-chain messages that triggered unauthorized token unlocks in the PortalV2 contract.

CrossCurve has issued a statement on social media, urging users to suspend all interactions with the protocol. Security expert Taylor Monahan stated that this vulnerability is similar to the 2022 incident where the cross-chain bridge Nomad was hacked for $190 million.
