A project recently completed an $11M ICO backed by promises of launching a perpetual futures DEX on HyperLiquid. However, the implementation faced significant friction—multiple red flags emerged surrounding project execution and credibility. Most notably, the team suddenly pivoted to Solana without delivering any working product, and more concerning, there's little evidence they possess the technical capability to execute on Solana's infrastructure. Despite these warning signs, investors still stepped in. This scenario highlights the recurring pattern in crypto markets where ambitious tokenomics and narratives can attract capital even when fundamental execution concerns remain unresolved. It's a reminder to scrutinize team credentials and technical readiness before committing to early-stage projects.
