X's recommendation algorithm issues are indeed worth reflecting on. Some pointed out several obvious flaws:
First, the preference weight for individual content is too high. As long as you interact with a certain post, the system will aggressively push related topics, leading to the entire feed being dominated by a single topic. This makes the browsing experience very monotonous.
Second, the recommendation weight for the follow list is insufficient. Although there is a separate Following tag, it is difficult to see content from creators you truly follow in the For You recommendations. This means users have to actively switch tags to see the information they want, which is obviously not smart enough.
These issues directly affect user stickiness and information discovery efficiency. For Web3 users who rely on X for community interaction and information access, the decline in experience will be very noticeable.
