#Perp DEX市场竞争 Seeing Lighter officially announce the LIT token, my first reaction isn't excitement, but rather focusing on the phrase "airdrop time still not clarified." This detail really says a lot.
The Perp DEX sector is indeed hot, with everyone competing fiercely, but how the tokenomics are designed and when the actual airdrop happens often determine whether the project develops healthily or turns into a tool for cutting leeks. I've seen too many projects that initially tell stories and make promises, only to repeatedly delay the token distribution, with holders' enthusiasm gradually fading.
Lighter's distribution seems quite balanced—50% for the ecosystem, 50% for team and investors, with the team having a 1-year lock-up plus a 3-year linear unlock. These are good signals. An immediate airdrop of 12.5 million points, accounting for 25% of the total supply, is also quite decent. But here's the problem: when will the remaining 25% be distributed? How will the subsequent points seasons be designed? These uncertainties are potential pitfalls.
My straightforward advice: don't get carried away by the hype of "officially announced tokens." What's truly valuable isn't the token itself, but how much actual revenue the protocol can generate and whether that revenue can genuinely flow back to token holders. Lighter claims that "income can be tracked on-chain in real-time," and I will keep an eye on this. But until the airdrop details are implemented and real income data appears, maintaining a cautious attitude is most important. Perp DEXs face fierce competition; projects that last long are not relying on airdrop expectations but on actual trading volume and user stickiness.
