In the crypto world, the more lonely you become, the less of a bad thing it is. Many people enter the crypto space starting with the excitement. Messages flood the groups nonstop, KOL opinions fill the air—today's coin doubles, tomorrow's coin takes off. You might think this is a sense of participation, but later you realize it’s more like a collective emotional custody. Until one day, you start to speak less. It's not because you lack emotions, but because you realize that emotions themselves are the most expensive cost in this market. Zhuangzi said: “Heaven and Earth and I are born together, and all things are one with me.” In the context of the crypto world, it’s quite straightforward: when you no longer rely on external calls, consensus, or applause, you truly begin to converse with the market on the same level. Genuine growth often happens in the stages when no one is with you through the night.
In a bull market, you are not lonely; loneliness only appears at two moments: one is when the market cools so much that no one speaks; the other is when you start to diverge from mainstream opinions. You no longer chase every hot topic, but instead repeatedly study the same logic; no longer showcase profits daily, but start to think seriously about drawdowns and risks. In others’ eyes, you may seem “overthinking,” “too conservative,” or “lacking passion.” But you know yourself—this is not retreat, but a widening perspective. Just like the great Peng bird in Zhuangzi’s writings, it’s not that it doesn’t fit in; it’s that the height it aims for isn’t in the pigeon’s flight path.
The loneliness in the crypto world is essentially a period of cognitive independence. You will gradually realize a harsh fact: the market won’t pay for your diligence; it only pays for the moment when you make independent judgments. When you no longer rush to be understood, no longer rely on others to confirm your direction, you actually become more stable. You begin to: persist with your strategy when there’s no applause; stop blaming yourself for missing opportunities; endure silence during turbulence; control yourself during rapid surges. At this moment, you seem quiet, but your inner self carries weight.
Zhuangzi said: “Acceptance is rooted in emptiness.” In the crypto world, this emptiness is the space you are willing to let go of noise, emotions, and obsessions. Loneliness is not disconnecting from the world but standing in the world in a different way. When you truly pass through this loneliness, you will notice some changes: you no longer obsess over every opportunity but can see at a glance what’s unsuitable for you; you start to cherish a few people you can discuss cognition with rather than noisy groups; you still feel market ups and downs, but they no longer influence your judgment. You will find that you haven't distanced yourself from the market; you've simply stopped being led by it.
The more you grow, the lonelier you become—not because the world has become colder, but because you finally have the ability to independently carry a complete judgment system. Zhuangzi said: “Only the truly noble person is called the most precious.” In the crypto space, those who enjoy solitude often go farther. Because they understand: loneliness isn’t a void that needs filling, but a slow river flowing into the self. When you can root yourself in silence, no matter how turbulent the cycles, you will stand firm.
