Turns out the real magic in EEG signals isn't where we thought it was. The phase locking between different frequency bands is carrying almost all the crucial geometric data - we're talking 80%+ accuracy in language extraction from brain signals.



What's interesting is that the frequency bands everyone uses are really just convenient ways to bucket the data. Makes you wonder what we're missing by sticking to these standard divisions.
