A British man mistakenly throws away nearly eight thousand Bitcoin, the government does not care about cooperation.

In 2013, British computer engineer James Howells accidentally mixed a hard drive into a garbage bag while cleaning his office, resulting in a wallet containing 8000 Bitcoin being sent to the landfill. Today, the value of these coins is approaching 950 million dollars. Over the years, he has tried to negotiate with the Newport City Council, hoping to invest 25 million pounds to buy the landfill, but he has been met with refusal every time. The lawsuit has also been unsuccessful. Howells insists that this is his "digital property," but since the landfill is owned by the city council, he has no right to enter for excavation.
