Grayscale has updated its rating of promising cryptocurrencies for 2025.

The financial company Grayscale has updated its rating of promising cryptocurrencies for 2025, which includes 20 digital assets.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana (SOL) have maintained their leading positions, and the list also includes Avalanche (AVAX) and Morpho (MORPHO), which took seventh and 17th places, respectively. Alongside this, Lido DAO (LDO) and Optimism (OP) have been removed from the list, as their potential has been called into question.

Top 20 promising digital assets according to Grayscale

Avalanche is released on its namesake blockchain, which boasts a high transaction processing speed and an extremely low coin transfer fee currently amounting to $0.0027. In comparison, in the BTC and ETH networks, the average fee for transaction confirmation is $1.6 and $0.82 respectively.

MORPHO made it into the Grayscale ranking due to the growing popularity of the decentralized lending protocol Morpho, whose employees developed the coin. The reason for this is the ease of use of the service and the intuitive interface. Due to the influx of new clients, the amount of funds locked on the platform has doubled this year and exceeded $4 billion.

Bitcoin traditionally tops the list of promising digital assets because it is widely used as a means of payment and a capital preservation tool. Ethereum and Solana are in the top 3, as the networks they are built on lead in the field of smart contract platforms. In the area of decentralized financial services, Maker (MKR), Uniswap (UNI), and Aave (AAVE) dominate.
