[Pakistan Allocates 2000 MW Power Capacity for Bitcoin Mining] Pakistan has allocated 2000 MW power capacity in the first phase plan supporting Bitcoin mining and AI data centers nationwide. Currently, the country is promoting the legalization of Crypto Assets and attracting foreign investment. The Ministry of Finance of Pakistan stated in a statement that this plan, led by the Pakistan Cryptocurrency Committee, will also help monetize surplus energy and create high-tech jobs. The Ministry of Finance mentioned that coal-fired power generation projects currently operating at 15% capacity, such as Sahiwal, China Hub, and Port Qasim, are expected to be repurposed for this plan.
