#GT CoinVoice recently revealed, according to an E24 report, that Morten Søberg (Morten Søberg), who previously served as the Norwegian Deputy Minister of Finance and a member of the supervisory committee of the Norwegian Central Bank and the Director of Public Affairs at SpareBank 1, will take over as the Secretary General of the new institute for Bitcoin policies (BPI) in August 2025. This institute aims to oppose the ban on Bitcoin, promote open legislation, and increase public awareness about Bitcoin and the currency system.
Currently, BPI has received around 1.517 Bitcoin ( approximately 1.6 million Norwegian Krona ) in donations, and it has 121 paid members.
