Trump’s tariff announcement is set! Will the crypto market survive?
The White House has confirmed that Trump will reveal his global tariff policy in the Rose Garden at 4 AM Beijing time on Thursday—meaning the big moment is just hours away.
Despite a bearish sentiment in recent months, the crypto market hasn’t seen a major drop leading up to this event. Bears seem to have exhausted their selling pressure over the last two months, with many now taking profits. This shift could introduce buying pressure instead of further decline.
Once the tariffs go into effect, the crypto market is expected to stabilize and gradually recover. However, this will likely happen over weeks rather than days, so an immediate surge shouldn’t be expected.
That said, tonight’s announcement is still a key turning point. If Trump announces significantly high tariffs, any expectations of a rebound could be dampened. On the flip side, if the numbers come in lower than feared, the market could react positively and rally.
