Chainalysis: Global taxable on-chain activity reached $457 billion in 2025, with CARF covering only 14%

Blockchain data analytics firm Chainalysis released its “Cryptocurrency Tax Report” on Aug. 27, estimating that the total volume of taxable on-chain crypto activity worldwide reached at least $457 billion in 2025, with the United States accounting for the largest share among individual countries at approximately $112.6 billion.
