Huang Renxun’s GTC Taipei keynote: Agents are a new computing paradigm, and software companies are entering a golden era
At GTC Taipei 2026, Huang Renxun proposed a two-stage architecture for AI Agents: large language models handle reasoning and planning, while an external orchestration engine connects tools and manages tasks and long-term memory, forming a thinking core and coordinating with tools. Three live demonstrations were shown: automatically generating complete programs, producing a dynamic particle animation based on a description titled with Taipei 101, GTC Taipei 2026, and the NVIDIA logo, and using CAD to create replacement parts that can be directly 3D printed. He also reiterated that software will not go bankrupt—this is the best era to build software, provided it’s designed so that it can be directly called by Agents. CUDA X has been fully opened to Agents, and efficiency even surpasses human developers.
