The recent Altcoin Season Index has dropped to its lowest level since June 2023, signaling a prolonged period of poor performance for altcoins in the past 60 days. According to the analysis company, Bitcoin's dominance remains above 60%, while altcoins have significantly poorer performance. However, this may be an advantage for investors as many altcoins have experienced a more significant decline than Bitcoin. According to analysts, XRP and LTC in particular have outperformed BTC in terms of overall performance. According to the company's analysis: The Bitcoin price increase could generate rapid growth, especially in altcoins with strong communities, high trading volume, and low valuation compared to BTC. Traditionally, the Altcoin Season index can be maintained within the Bitcoin Season zone for a long time, meaning that the changes may not occur immediately. The annual performance of Bitcoin remains modest, lacking price momentum as in previous market cycles. The 3-month performance is approaching a negative level, which historically indicates a consolidation or sideways decline phase. The Price Decrease indicator from ATH shows a similar pattern to previous cycles. Not working further could weaken both its annual and 3-month performance, as Bitcoin has not reached its all-time high since January 21, 2025.
