Gate.io: The uncertainty surrounding Japan's monetary policy seems to be increasingly apparent

On August 15th, Jinshi Data News, ING economists in the Netherlands stated that the uncertainty of Japan's monetary policy seems to be more apparent than in July. The stronger-than-expected economic growth in the second quarter supported the view that Japan's Central Bank's economy is recovering. It is expected that strong wage growth and an inflation rate hovering around 2% will bring positive factors. However, if it proves that the interest rate hike in July was correct, Japan's Central Bank may not have the confidence to further raise interest rates. In a market turmoil, with the yen and stock market roller coaster, Japan's Central Bank may be more inclined to avoid risks. The resignation of Fumio Kishida as party leader is also not welcomed by the market. Due to the lack of strong competitors, it is difficult to speculate on the policy direction of the next government. ING Bank believes that the possibility of a rate hike by Japan's Central Bank in October is very low, but it will wait for economic data from Japan and the United States, as well as the Federal Reserve's decision, and then decide whether to bet on Japan's Central Bank taking action in December or the first quarter of 2025.
