Hong Kong Stocks Fall 1.75% at Midday as MINIMAX Surges Over 16% on Port Inclusion

According to Zhitong Caijing, the Hang Seng Index fell 1.75 percent, dropping 452 points to 25,463 during midday trading on August 6, while the Hang Seng Tech Index declined 1.87 percent.

MINIMAX-W (00100) surged over 16 percent against the broader market decline following its formal inclusion in the Stock Connect program. Other notable gainers included Zhipu AI (02513), up over 5 percent; Xinyuan Electronics (02476), up over 7 percent; Zhongji Xuanchuang (03308), up over 5 percent; and Laobuzhu Gold (06181), up over 3 percent. NWTN (03750) fell over 3 percent while China Merchants Heavy Industry (01138) declined 3.8 percent.
