South Korea's Central Bank Forecasts Reserve Deficit of 406.4B KRW for August 6; Overnight Call Rate at 2.731%

According to Yonhap Infomax, South Korea's central bank released liquidity forecasts for August 6 showing a reserve deficit of 406.4 billion KRW (or 74.9 billion KRW cumulative surplus in reserve adjustment accounts). The previous day (August 5) saw an overnight call rate of 2.731% with trading volume of 17.993 trillion KRW. Major liquidity drivers include fiscal transfers of 1.8 trillion KRW and RP maturities of 2 trillion KRW on the increase side, while government fund recoveries totaling 4 trillion KRW and new stabilization bond issuances of 2.03 trillion KRW support the decrease side.
