SpaceX Spent $295M on Tesla Megapacks in Q2, H1 Purchases Hit $329M

According to CNBC, SpaceX spent $295 million on Tesla Megapacks in the quarter ended June 30, bringing first-half 2026 purchases to $329 million. The batteries power Colossus data centers in the Memphis area used by SpaceXAI, Elon Musk's AI company. On SpaceX's second-quarter earnings call, Musk said the company planned to have 20 gigawatts of power and cooling operational by the end of 2027, though he noted 15 gigawatts at the power plant level was more likely.
