The S&P 500 ended 0.2% lower and the Nasdaq 100 fell 0.8% on Wednesday, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.5% to reach fresh record highs. Nvidia stock surged after SpaceX said it would use Nvidia chips exclusively for its AI infrastructure, according to Elon Musk's remarks on the company's earnings call.

Futures pointed to a rebound, with S&P 500 futures climbing 0.2%, Nasdaq 100 futures up 0.4%, and Dow futures gaining 86 points. The Russell 2000 fell 0.6%.
