According to SpaceX's latest earnings report, the company's stock plunged 13% to $108.27 per share on Wednesday (August 5), erasing $225 billion in market value. While second-quarter revenue of $78.1 billion exceeded expectations and net losses narrowed, investor concerns over massive capital expenditures tied to artificial intelligence infrastructure overshadowed the positive results. Research firm Vital Knowledge noted that free cash flow deterioration reflects unprecedented AI investment spending. Capital expenditure in the second quarter reached $18.36 billion, with $15.8 billion directed toward AI operations, offsetting gains from Starlink's 66% revenue increase to $4.3 billion and AI business growth of 247% to $2.6 billion.
