U.S. Dollar Index Falls 0.18% on August 5, Euro and Pound Strengthen

According to Jin10, the U.S. Dollar Index declined 0.18% on August 5, closing at 99.676 at the New York forex market close. The euro strengthened to 1.1553 against the dollar, up from 1.1533 the previous day, while sterling rose to 1.3469, compared to 1.3452 prior. The yen climbed slightly to 157.67 per dollar. The Swiss franc weakened to 0.8069, the Canadian dollar to 1.4008, and the Swedish krona to 9.4832.
