Brent Crude Closes at $79.45 on August 5 as Iran-Oman Strait Talks Continue

According to ICE and NYMEX futures data, on August 5, Brent crude oil and U.S. WTI futures closed with minimal moves as discussions between Iran and Oman over Hormuz Strait passage continued. October delivery Brent crude futures settled at $79.45 per barrel, up 0.1% from the prior session. September delivery WTI futures closed at $75.22 per barrel.
