According to S&P Global Ratings, the ratings provider assigned its highest AAAm rating to BlackRock's tokenized money market fund, BRSRV, on Monday. S&P cited the fund's creditworthiness, maturity structure, and management's ability to maintain stable net asset value, noting no weaknesses in operational, compliance and risk management assessments. The fund uses a permissioned architecture with whitelisted wallets to mitigate cyber and smart contract risks.
Separately, S&P published updated Stablecoin Stability Assessments on Tuesday, covering 11 stablecoins across five rating tiers. Six stablecoins received "adequate" or stronger ratings, with USDC, USDC, EURC and USDP rated "strong," while USDT remained at "weak" after being downgraded from "constrained" in November 2025.
