According to PANews, Circle announced on August 5 that its Arc mainnet, an open blockchain network for global financial markets, will launch on September 16. The network has attracted over 100 institutional participants and is currently running on a private testnet. BlackRock, DTCC, Galaxy, Global Payments, ICE, Mastercard, MoneyGram, SBI Group, Standard Chartered, Sumitomo Corporation, and Visa will serve as genesis validators.

BlackRock plans to deploy its BUIDL institutional USD digital liquidity fund on Arc, while DTCC is integrating tokenization and settlement capabilities to enable on-chain settlement of DTC-custodied assets via stablecoins.
