U.S. and U.K. Reaffirm Stablecoin and Tokenization Regulatory Cooperation on August 4

According to a joint statement on August 4, the U.S. and U.K. reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen cooperation on stablecoin and tokenization regulation. The statement followed the 13th Financial Regulatory Working Group (FRWG) meeting held in London on July 8, where officials discussed digital asset market structure and wholesale financial market digitalization. On July 14, the Transatlantic Future Markets Taskforce (TTMF) released preliminary recommendations on stablecoins, establishing a foundation for continued U.S.-U.K. regulatory leadership in digital assets and capital markets.
