Ripple News: VivoPower sells Ripple Labs shares to the KOSDAQ market

VivoPower International announces restructuring of its Ripple Labs investment through transactions linked to the Korean KOSDAQ market. The company transferred a portion of its Ripple shares to KWeather and received a 20% stake valued at $4.3 million.

The remaining shares will be sold to Lean Ventures (Korea) under an agreement starting December 2025. All transfers are at market value and require Ripple Labs' internal approval. Following the announcement, VivoPower's stock rose over 16% in after-hours trading. VivoPower affirms it will not hold cryptocurrencies directly on its balance sheet and does not recognize unrealized losses from digital assets. This move reflects a strategy to withdraw from direct Ripple ownership to focus on expanding data center infrastructure for AI across multiple regions. However, exposure to Ripple remains within the Vivo Federation unit, while Tembo and Caret Digital divisions are being spun off and divested as part of a long-term infrastructure strategy. VivoPower trades on Nasdaq and Frankfurt, operates in multiple global regions, holds B Corp certification, and pursues a “power to X” strategy.
