Anza Vice President: Reducing Solana block state costs, account creation rent will be reduced by 10 times

SOL3.40%
BlockBeats News, December 12 – Brennan Watt, Vice President of Core Engineering at Solana research and development company Anza, stated at the Solana Breakpoint conference that proposal SIMD-0389 could reduce the rent for creating Solana accounts by 10 times, with a potential scalability up to 100 times reduction. Note: In the Solana network, Account Rent refers to the "storage fee" mechanism required to store data permanently on the chain for an account. According to Anza’s analysis of the security slowdown mechanism, this change was discussed at the recent SolanaConf and could release wider adoption by reclaiming hundreds of millions of dormant SOLs while maintaining network security.
