Investment Company Forecasts Institutional Investment in Bitcoin to Be Worth 400 Billion Dollars by 2026!
According to a new report published by the crypto asset management firm Bitwise Asset Management and UTXO Management, institutional capital directed towards Bitcoin will exceed $400 billion by the end of 2026.
These investments are expected to lead to a total accumulation of 4.2 million BTC.
In 2025, more than 120 billion dollars in institutional investment is expected in Bitcoin, while this figure is projected to reach 300 billion dollars in 2026. Behind this rapid growth will be the influence of not only the private sector but also state-supported strategies.
Following the announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump in March that he would establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve, bills aimed at converting seized Bitcoins into treasury assets have emerged in more than 20 states. If these initiatives led by states like New Hampshire and Arizona become law, an additional capital influx of $19 billion is expected for Bitcoin.
According to the report, it is predicted that at least five states in the U.S. and four different countries such as Bhutan will establish their own strategic Bitcoin reserves by 2026. This process is also expected to increase the number of publicly traded Bitcoin treasury companies. Firms like MicroStrategy are estimated to add more than 1 million BTC in total to their portfolios.
It is also expected that these companies will further increase the interest of institutional investors by focusing on Bitcoin-based return strategies, such as lending and staking, by 2026.
Guillaume Girard, the research director of UTXO Management, stated, "We are entering a new era of Bitcoin adoption driven not by hype cycles, but by balance sheet fundamentals, sovereign strategies, and long-term obligations."
Bitwise's senior investment strategist Juan Leon said, "In the next 18 months, Bitcoin will solidify its position as a global store of value."
