Jin10 reported on April 10 that two sources revealed that prosecutors in Bologna, a northern city in Italy, are investigating alleged tax evasion between 2013 and 2023, and Italy is seeking 1.2 billion euros (approximately 1.3 billion dollars) in compensation from the U.S. fintech group ION. This investigation is the latest in a series of tax evasion cases against U.S. tech companies by Italy, which are also central to the EU's broader response to the trade war triggered by the Trump administration.
