After Trump's victory, the United States may face five major changes.

The New York Times predicts that after Trump regains power, there may be five major changes in the direction of American politics.
1. Strengthening Presidential Power: After returning to the White House, Trump is likely to increase presidential power in federal government departments independent of the White House and change the balance of power by arranging more 'loyalists'.
2. Hit political opponents: Trump is likely to "use presidential power to retaliate against his perceived political enemies", with current President Biden and his family being the first targets. Previously, Trump stated that if re-elected, he would appoint a special prosecutor to "investigate" Biden and his family.
3. Strict control of immigration: For Trump, cracking down on illegal immigration has always been one of his core policies. Stephen Miller, Trump's chief immigration adviser, said that the second Trump administration will deport illegal immigrants on a large scale, with over 1 million people expected to be expelled from the U.S. border each year.
4. Large-scale taxation: Trump plans to impose new tariffs on most imported goods, with a general import tax rate of up to 10%. The New York Times pointed out that this not only will raise domestic prices in the United States, but may also trigger a global trade war, damaging the interests of American exporters.
5. Alienating European allies: After Trump takes office, it is likely that he will alienate traditional European allies, weaken NATO, and may even directly lead the United States to withdraw from NATO.
