[9.14 Today’s Cake and Gold]
"cake"
The CPI rebounded slightly last night, and the overall data was in line with expectations. However, the suspension of interest rate hikes in September is still unaffected. It is not difficult to understand that the overall CPI data is close to the target value, and the small rebound is just a normal fluctuation. The suspension of interest rate hikes is inevitable in the last three times this year. Yes, the impact on the market will slowly penetrate.
Yesterday, we reminded that the price will continue to rebound upward to 26300 above 25600. The price is currently consolidating under the trend line resistance at the daily level. The longs and shorts are anxious, but it is more like a continued rebound after digesting the selling pressure. Therefore, it is recommended to hunt for dips above 25300. Long, look for the daily line to break through to around 27K-27.2
"gold"
Gold's short position yesterday was waiting for the bottoming out after the CPI data. It held on to rebound at 1908 and tested the resistance of 1915, but there was still no effective breakthrough. Today it maintains a range of 1908-1915, and if it breaks below, it will continue to look around 1900-1895.
In terms of trading, the short space is limited. Don’t chase shorts. Just wait patiently and look for opportunities to go long near 1900.
The U.S. index maintains high consolidation, but the 4-hour level has reached a second high. Pay attention to the gains and losses of 104.4. A break below will bring about a rebound for gold.
