With consumption cooling and inflation fanning the flames again, what will the Fed choose in September?
The Fed will most likely stand pat in September. Cooling consumption is exactly what policymakers want to see. As long as there is no cliff-like recession, the Fed will continue using high rates to bide its time. The bar for a rate hike is extremely high, but rate cuts are still nowhere in sight.
Going forward, watch inflation expectations. Weak consumption has long been priced in; only a de-anchoring of inflation expectations would directly destroy the rate-cut thesis. That is the true life

I'm watching AIN because it is down -3.32% at $0.08044, but showing a healthy V-shaped recovery from a low of $0.07777. The EMAs are turning upwards with EMA5 at $0.08019, EMA10 at $0.07990, and EMA30 at $0.07972. The 24h high is $0.08401, and MACD is turning positive. I am staying out for now, but watching closely for a break above $0.08054 to confirm a continued recovery.

I'm staying far away from HOLO because it is down -11.82% at $0.05548, dropping from a 24h high of $0.06315. The moving averages are bearish with EMA5 at $0.05539, EMA10 at $0.05601, and EMA30 at $0.05803. The 24h low is $0.05463, and MACD is deeply negative. The trend is clearly down.
