after trading for ~9 years, I have seen:
- Rate hikes and prices goes down
- Rate hikes and price goes up
- Rate cuts and price goes down
- Rate cuts and price goes up
- Rates unchanged and price goes down
- Rates unchanged and price goes up
I can’t tell you when 1 of these 6 outcomes is more likely than the others, because I don’t understand the nuances and context to a deeper extent
but over 9 years, that’s always proved to be okay, because price action tells the truth in the end, and my analysis is always as objective as it can feasibly be
