To address discrepancies between TokenStocks withdrawal amounts and the amounts displayed by the receiving service, the following explains the rules for displaying holdings and converting deposit and withdrawal amounts:
Gate will display all TokenStocks holdings using the quantity (UI Amount) calculated after applying the asset adjustment factor (Multiplier). Each displayed unit represents price exposure to 1 share of the underlying stock, but does not mean that the user directly owns the stock or has shareholder rights.
The conversion between the UI Amount and the on-chain Raw Amount of tokens is as follows:
Platform-displayed amount (UI Amount) = On-chain raw amount (Raw Amount) × Adjustment factor (Multiplier)
When TokenStocks involve stock splits, reverse splits, asset rebalancing, dividends, or similar events, Gate will process the corresponding adjustments according to the issuer’s rules and relevant data and reflect them in the holdings quantities displayed on the platform.
For TokenStocks subject to the mechanism described above, Gate will convert deposit and withdrawal amounts using the corresponding asset’s Multiplier:
Deposit: Credited amount = raw on-chain deposit amount (Raw Amount) × Multiplier.
Withdrawal: Actual amount transferred on-chain (Raw Amount) = (withdrawal amount submitted by the user - withdrawal fee) ÷ Multiplier. Both the submitted amount and the withdrawal fee are calculated on the UI Amount basis.
For example, if an asset’s Multiplier is 1.1 and you submit a withdrawal of 11 tokens, the actual Raw Amount transferred on-chain would be 10 tokens, assuming no withdrawal fee.
Different wallets, blockchain explorers, or receiving platforms may use different display bases: some display the Raw Amount, while others display the amount adjusted by the Multiplier. As a result, the withdrawal amount on Gate may differ numerically from the amount displayed by the receiving service. Differences caused solely by the conversion and display bases described above do not indicate asset loss or additional fees.
When reviewing your deposit and withdrawal records, please check the Multiplier for the relevant asset, the withdrawal fee, and the receiving service’s display rules. If you have any questions, please contact Gate’s official customer support for assistance with verification.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
