Democrats’ counterproposal was rejected by Republicans, adding more uncertainty ahead of the actual vote.
The market reacted negatively, but the important part comes later.
The vote is expected around 20:15–21:15, and the bill needs 60 votes in favor to move forward.
If it passes, the Senate moves into roughly 30 hours of debate, amendments and eventually a final vote.
If it fails, the bill effectively goes into freeze.
For BTC, this is another major volatility trigger. I’d expect the market to stay extremely reactive around the vote.
