Made a bitcoin:native $80k/$90k bull call spread yesterday, a few hours before the move.
Wanted to share the thought process because I still think this strategy is underrated for what it gives: defined downside, decent R:R, and a cleaner way to express a directional view.
The position was simple:
- Long 1x $80k call
- Short 1x $90k call
At entry, the spread had around +0.27 delta, so it behaved roughly like being long 0.27 BTC, but with a predefined maximum loss.
The first decision was not whether to be bullish BTC.
It was how to express that bullish view.

When the screen was glowing green, selling pressure was strong, trading volume was low, and the long-baiting was obvious. Every push upward fell just short. With this price-volume setup, I warned you not to rush into buying. I immediately shorted $GMT .

$BTC But Here’s What I’m Watching Next
The $80K reclaim is important, but the real question isn’t whether BTC touched $80K…
It’s whether $80K becomes support. 👀
If buyers successfully defend this level, momentum could build toward the $82K–$85K region.
But if BTC gets rejected and quickly slips back below $80K, this could turn into another liquidity grab rather than a clean breakout.
For me, the best trade is not chasing the candle.
I’m waiting for the retest → confirmation → entry.
